Equipment Description

147’ x 25 Hydraulic Raised Cantilever Mast with hook capacity of 1,000,000# per API Standard 4F with twelve (12) lines strung to the traveling block. Wind capacity of 100 mph with full setback and 125 mph without setback. Mast designed with the following features:

• Mast transport in two sections using mast dollies

• Hydraulic raising cylinders to raise the mast from horizontal to vertical.

• Hinge points on mast raising system are located such that the hydraulic cylinders remain in compression during entire raising cycle.

• Raising cylinders are designed to also raise the substructure to drill floor elevation with no relocation of base connection.

• Full height straight ladder on driller’s side extending from drill floor to crown block with access to racking platform.

• Integral guide tracks and stiffening to accommodate 500-ton top drive system. Maximum torque load = 60,000 ft lbs. Tracks include pin type stops for securing top drive and traveling block dollies for transport with mast.

Special “Butterfly-type” truss beams for bottom section enabling section to be retracted to 12’-0” width for transportation. Butterfly retraction is done hydraulically.

Customer to provide interface drawings for any equipment to be supplied by other vendors and suppliers.

2.  1 583-Ton Crown Block rated for 1,000,000 lb. hook load to accommodate 1,000-ton traveling block. Crown designed with one (1) 60”Ø API 8C fastline sheave and six (6) 60"Ø API 8C working sheaves all mounted on tapered roller bearings. Sheaves grooved for 1-1/2"Ø wire-line. Deadline on off-driller’s side. Crown furnished with the following:

• Wire-line guards for sheave assemblies

• 3-1/2” kingpin with support frame

• Bumper blocks wrapped in expanded metal

• Padeyes for three (3) 6-ton airhoist sheave units

Padeye for one (1) 50-ton hang-off line for traveling block

3.  1 Crown Safety Platform furnished with 3'-6" high square tube handrails, nonskid flooring and maze type safety gate at ladder opening.

4.  1 Racking Platform having a capacity of 224 stands (20,800 ft.) of 5" O.D. drill pipe and eight  (8) stands of 9-1/2" O.D. drill collars. Platform furnished with the following:

Rollover type self-locking rake fingers with non-skid walk surface.

Working board with hinge-up extension at well center end of board.

Hinge-up foot pads along side of front edge of working board.

7’-0” high square tube handrails with integral mule posts around perimeter.

Inside handrails along front edge of drill collar racks.

Support for air tugger (IR model #2UW) mounted at rear of working board.

Safety gate at ladder access opening.

7.   2 6-Ton 14"Ø Air Tugger Sheave Units, bronze bushed and grooved for 3/4"Ø wire-line. Air tugger  sheaves mounted below crown frame in mast top section.

      2 6-Ton 14"Ø Deflector Sheave Units bronze bushed and grooved for 3/4” wire-line. Sheave units mounted in back face of mast below crown frame to route winch line from air hoists mounted behind mast to air tugger sheave units mounted on front face of mast.

8.    1 Set Adjustable Front and Rear Mast Shoes furnished with pins and attachment bolts.


9.    1 Set Leveling Equipment. Furnished with two (2) 50-ton jacks and leveling lines.

10.  1 Cable-type Ladder Safety Climb.


11.  1 30’ High x 34’ Wide Hydraulic Raised Substructure. Casing capacity 1,000,000# simultaneous with 600,000# setback capacity. Substructure designed with the following features:


• Substructure assembled at ground elevation and raised to 30’ floor height using mast raising cylinders with no requirement for relocating the base connection.

• Raising system designed such that hydraulic cylinders remain in compression during entire raising cycle.

• Accommodation for independent 37-1/2” rotary table. Rotary beams recessed to place top of rotary table flush with floor, clearance beneath rotary – 25’.

• Opening and support for rotating mouse-hole (supplied by customer), and opening for rat-hole.

Note:

Customer to provide mouse-hole model and dimensional information.

• Setback spreader covered with 3/8” flat plate and 6” wood.

One (1) floor mounted pedestal to accommodate iron roughneck.  

• Provision to accept Pragma hydraulic catwalk.

• Deadline anchor support in sub-base off-driller’s side. Support accommodates a OEM deadline anchor.

12.  1 Drawworks Foundation to accommodate a 2000 HP drawworks at ground level. Foundation pins to rear of sub-base to act as counterweight for mast raising.


NOTE: Drawworks type to be specified by customer at time of order.


13.   1 Set of Handrails for the perimeter of the drill floor. Fold-over type handrails are 3'-6" high and fabricated from 2" square tubing with 4” toe boards.


14.  1 Set of Flooring for the drill floor with 3/8” checkered plate around rotary table. Flooring designed with integral drain system for zero discharge including drip pan under rotary table, gutters with grating around rotary and setback, splash guards around cut-outs, watertight seal welded floor seams on top of floor and skip-welded on underneath side, and drain gutters to route mud and fluids to the cellar.

15.   1 Set of two (2) Tong Counterweights, each having a capacity of 2-tons, with wire-lines, guides, blocks and wafer-type slugs.

Set of two (2) Padeye Tong Backup welded to mast legs for floor.

16.   2 Air Tugger Pedestals with pinned base plates for supporting air tuggers on each side of setback area on the drill floor.


17.   1 30’-0” High Double Flight Stair extending from the drill floor to the ground. Stair furnished with integral landing at mid point, grip strut serrated safety grating treads and handrails.

18.  1 Mast Dolly for transportation of mast bottom section with top drive installed. Dolly furnished with 80,000# suspension, hydraulic jacks for vertical adjustment and pin plates and guides for connection to mast.

     18 Mast Dolly for transportation of mast top section with traveling block strung up. Dolly furnished with 80,000# suspension, support for wire-line spool unit and pin plates and guides for connection to mast.

21.  1 Air Powered Adjustable Casing Stabbing Platform Unit, to include the following:

a. Air powered manriding hoist UL certified for 1000 lbs., furnished with spring actuated power released primary load brake and deadman type controls. Compressor rated 100 PSI @ 150 SCFM with 3/4" airline. Powered by a XA 500P pneumatic cable hoist;

b. One (1) dynamic safety brake furnished with a positive mechanical (wedge type) locking device designed to actuate in case of hoist failure or over-speed.

c.  Derrickman’s belt.

d. Derrickman’s harness with shoulder straps and safety line with attachment padeye to be located on mast member at elevation above stabbing board.

e.  Safety screen installed on backside of riding platform.

f.    Guide track.  

g.   Set mounting brackets for installation in mast. Brackets include hinge for rotating track to stored position for transport with mast.


Platform adjustable from 23' to 47' elevations above drill floor. Stabbing board designed, fabricated and tested in accordance with API Spec 4F and Q1 specification for Quality programs.
